Buspar.

BuSpar (buspirone) can be recommended by your doctor if you have anxiety. It is intended for short-term treatment only. Never take BuSpar for longer than recommended, as this is not going to make your treatment more successful. Let your doctor know if you are taking dexamethasone, haloperidol, anticonvulsants, MAO inhibitors, tranquilizers, sleeping pills, itraconazole, erythromycin, pain medications, ketoconazole, antihistamines, sedatives, or diazepam, as those medications have been reported to interact with BuSpar, which may affect the success of your treatment. Such mild side effects as dry mouth, drowsiness, headache, difficulty sleeping, excitement, diarrhea, fatigue, upset stomach, lightheadedness, vomiting, constipation, depression, weakness, nervousness, and stomach pain do not need to be reported to your doctor unless they get bothersome and affect the quality of your life. In most cases however, the side effects mentioned will not become mores serious than that and will go away on their own without any need for you to do anything about them. Tell your doctor if you are breastfeeding, as BuSpar may pass into breast milk and there is a chance the health of your nursing infant is harmed.
